Saraswati is the goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge in Hindustani, Jain and Buddhist religions. She is the personification of arts, science and crafts, and represents Shakti: creativity and inspiration.

This is the first work of a series.
("Sa" is the first note in Hindustani's musical scale)

Not having the left eye (from the viewers point) in focus is a bit of a disappointment.

The light on the statue works okay but it is not on Carlos level... ;)

Ditto the constructive comments above, and agreed that this is a very interesting shot. Love the details, lighting, and colours. Good composition as well, but I wonder if including the rest of the chin and right eyelash wouldn't have improved it a little... maybe, maybe not. Nicely done! And I agree with your choice to post the colour version -- the B&W is nice, but I prefer the colour version.
